Beatrice Brown 1903-2006

Beatrice Brown of St. James, Missouri passed away Satuarday November 18, 2006. She was 103 years of age.

Beatrice was born on November 5, 1903 to her parents in Vichy, Missouri in Maries County. Beatrice was united in marriage to Roy G. Brown on January 12, 1927 in Rolla, Missouri. He entered into rest June 12, 1979.

Beatrice gave her life to Christ when a young girl and lived a christian life until death. She was a loyal homemaker and always helped where she could. She always tried to scatter cheer and sunshine where ever she went. She lived most of her life on a farm north of St. James. She and her husband moved to St. James after his retirement. She enjoyed raising a big garden, canning, raising chickens and taking care of their home and farm. She was a great lady and will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Surviving Beatrice is two nieces: Mary Ellen Storie of Rolla, Missouri; and Rose Brown of Kimberling City, Missouri; one cousin: Dwayne Brown of West Plains, Missouri; and one great nephew: Kenneth Story of Joplin, Missouri, along with many nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

Preceding Beatrice in death is her husband: Roy G. Brown on June 12, 1979; and one brother: Durward (D.K.) James and sister-in-law.

Services
Beatrice Brown will lie in state from 5-8 pm Monday November 20, 2006 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.

Funeral Services were conducted 10:00 a.m. Tuesday November 21, 2006 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James with Stephen Brubaker and Don Gowin officiating. Pallbearers were Mark Heaven, Ellis Copeland, John Heavin, Kenneth Storie, Ray Ellis and Kenneth Martin. Burial was in the family plot at the Wishon Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Wishon Cemetery. Cards are available at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.

All arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
