Geneva (Walton) Winstead 1913-2006

Geneva Winstead of Wentzville, Mo., formerly of St. James passed away Thursday December 7, 2006 at the Park Lane Care and Rehab Center in Wentzville, Mo. She was 93 years of age.

Geneva Winstead was born April 16, 1913 at Fulton, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Douglas Reed and Sue Maddox Walton.

On August 5, 193, she was united in marriage to Edward Oling Winstead. He entered into rest February 5, 1984. To this union three daughters were born.

Geneva was a seamstress for many years in St. Louis and one year made formals for the Rose Bowl Queen and her court. She loved gardening and canning and in later years loved to travel.

Geneva Winstead is survived by daughters: Jettye Boyd-Lamb and son-in-law Jerry Lamb of O'Fallon, Missouri; Shirley Blaker of California and Sue Coak and son-in-law Jerry Conrath of the State of Washington. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Carla and Andy, Rick and Alicia, Mike and Felecia, Sharon and Danny, Marty and Debbie, Stacy and Michael, Amy and Steve, and Tom. Great-Grandchildren: Heather, Laura and Chad, Briana and Mark, Lindsay and Matt, Carah, Hayely, Wesley, Lisa, Justin and Nikki. Great Great-Grandchildren: Dylan, Dalton, Rhiannon, Cameron, and Payton. She will be miss by all.

Preceding Geneva in death are her parents Douglas Reed and Sue (Maddox) Walton and her husband: Edward Oling Winstead.

Services
Geneva Winstead was in state from 6-8 pm Sunday, December 10, 2006 at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James.

Funeral Services were conducted 11 am Monday, December 11, 2006 at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Amy Turner Officating. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Burial will be in the family plot in the Dillon Cemetery.

All arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.
