Essie D. (Nichols) West 1913-2006

Essie D. West passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2006 at LaBelle, Missouri. She was 93 years of age.

Essie was born on February 5, 1913 in Eminence to her parents: James Arthur and Ellen Victoria (Williams) Nichols. Essie was married to Claude Redburn in 1931 nd to this union was born 2 sons. Essie married Pearlie M. West on June 30, 1934 and to this union 3 childrend were born.

Essie is survived by one son: Charles Vernal Redburn and wife Louise of St. James, Missouri; two daughters: Elsie Moore and husband Donald of Bethel, Missouri and Maxine Ross of Lillian, Alabama; three sisters: Mary Whitaker and Helen Garrett of Popular Bluff, Missouri; Mickey Rusteberg of Illinois; nine grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; also other extended family members and a host of friends who will miss her greatly.

Preceding her in death is her parents: her husbands: Claude Redburn in 1934; and P.M. West in 1984; son and daughter-in-law: Claude and his wife Eve; and a great-great granddaughter: Claire Redburn.

All arrangements were under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.

Services
Visitation was held from 9 - 11 am Saturday, June 17, 2006 at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, June 17, 2006 at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Dan Bauder officiating. Pallbearers will be Alan Redburn, Carl Redburn, Charles Wayne Redburn, David West, Steve West, and Matthew West. Burial was in the family plot in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Steelville, Missouri.

All arrangements were under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri
