Della Ona "Dotty" (Tanner) Parsell 1931-2006

Della Ona "Dotty" Tanner Parsell of St. James, Missouri passed away on May 26, 2006. She was 75 years of age.

Della was born on January 16, 1931 near Warsaw, Missouri to her parents Ward Emery and Goldie Florella (Pierce) Tanner. She was united in marriage to Charles L. Parsell Jr. in 1953 and he passed away on October 22, 2000. To this union six children were born.

Della was an owner of Country-Aire Hotel on old Highway 66 - The Treasure Nook for thirteen years; she owned several different restaurants and doughnut shops in the area.
She was a loving wife; mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew or loved her.

Della is survived by one son: Charles Leonard Parsell III and wife Vikki of Rolla, Missouri; two daughters: Doretta Charlene Parsell and Lora Gray of St. James, Missouri;
grandsons: Charles L. Parsell IV and Eric Wayne Parsell of Lee's Summit. Missouri; Robert Daniel Lasecki and wife Amanda of South Carolina; in the Air Force; David Michael and Daniel Mathew Gray of St. James, Missouri; granddaughters: Tamara Lynne Hanzok and husband A.J. of Pottsville, Pennsylvania; Brandy Jean and Tiffany Marie Parsell of Archia, Missouri; Danielle Lasecki of Green Bay, Wisconsin; DeAnn Gray of St. James, Missouri; two step grandchildren: Jan and Morgan of Springfield, Missouri; and three great grandchildren; Jackie, Joey and Brooke Hanzok of Pottsville, Pennsylvanis; one special nephew: Lyle Zane Tanner; whom she cared for, for 28 years.

Preceding Della in death is her parents: Ward Emery and Goldie Florella (Pierce) Tanner; two sons: Michael Emery and Gary Eugene Parsell; one daughter: Kathryn Lynne Lasecki; two sisters: Florence Tanner and Orva Eunience Britt and one brother: Porter E. Tanner.

Services
Visitation for Della will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2006 from 6 - 8 PM at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Prayer Service at 8 PM. Burial will be in the familly plot in the Matlock Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society.

All arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
