June, 25, 1896 Rolla, Missouri -Carl Meriwether, eldest son of Mr. & Mrs. Robert Meriwether, and an excellent young man, died yesterday after a long illness from consumption.
Carl Meriwether, son of Mr. & Mrs. Robt. Meriwether, was born Oct. 21, 1876, in Lewis Co., Mo., and died June 24, 1896. His parents came to Rolla when he was two. After passing the upper grades in the public school, he spent a year and a half in the School of Mines. About two years ago, he entered the law office of his father. He joined the M.E. Church, was buried in Labelle, Mo.
