Mildred Mae (Ragan) Shields 1929-2006

Mildred Mae Shields of St. James, passed away March 13, 2006, at the St. James Nursing Center. She was 77 years 2 months and 5 days of age.

Mildred Shields was born in Phelps Co. on January 8, 1929, the daughter of the late Lem W. and Nellie Jane (Duncan) Ragan.

Mildred Shields had a life - long faith in God that carried her through to the end of her life. She was a member of the Flag Springs Church.

She was united in marriage to Raymond Mack Shields. He entered into rest October, 1981.
Later in life she married Raymond Love who entered into rest November 2003.

Survivors are her Sons: James W. R. Shields Sr. and his wife Sylvia of St. James; Kenneth A. Shields and his wife Dollie of Chapman, Kansas; Dennis E. Shields and his wife Roberta of St. James and Mike L. Shields and his wife Linda of St. James, Mo.: Daughter: Diana Stewart of St. James. Along with 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and a host of friends.

Mildred Mae Shields is preceded in death by her parents Lem and Nellie Ragan, her husbands: Raymond Shields and Raymond Love, one daughter Debby Faye Shields and one sister Opal Faye Ragan.

Services
Mildred Mae Shields was in state from 5-8 P.M. Wednesday, March 15, 2006, at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.

Funeral Service were conducted 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 16, 2006 at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James with Rev. Gary Bartle officiating. Music was be provided by Rhonda Boren, Cheryl Harlan and Rena Stewart, vocalists; with Mary Taylor and Judy Bartle at the organ. Pallbearers were be her grandchildren: Raymond Shields Jr; Josh Shields; Stephen Shields; Michael Shields; James Shields, Jr.; and Coty Stewart. Burial was in the family plot at the St. James Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo.
