Helen Marie Smith, of Rolla, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2009 at the age of 89.
She was born in Crawford County, Mo., on Jan. 16, 1920, to the late William and Susie (Jones) Edgar.
Helen was married to William “Bill” Smith who preceded her in death on March 11, 1999.
Mrs. Smith was the original co-owner of Maid Rite in Rolla. She was a member of the Rolla Eagles Lodge for many years.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Smith, of Rolla, nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
A visitation for the family and friends of Helen Smith will be held Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, beginning at 1 p.m. at the Null and Son Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at 2 p.m. in the Rolla City Cemetery.
All arrangements are under the direction of the Null & Son Funeral Home in Rolla.
