Lura Elizabeth (Williams) Cook 1902-1984

Lura Elizabeth Cook was born in Dunklin County, Missouri, on January 22, 1902, the daughter of James and Ida Williams, and departed this life on January 20, 1984 at the Lake of the Ozarks Hospital at Osage Beach, Missouri, having attained the age of 81 years.

Lura was united in marriage to Charles Franklin Cook, who preceded her in death on June 6, 1952. She is survived by one son, Charles Cook, of Waynesville; 3 granddaughters: Debra Heatherly, Cullaman, Alabama, Carolyn Fortune, Longmont, Colorado; and Charlotte Christeson, Lebanon, Tennesse; 8 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, LaDean, and a grandson, Johnny.

Mrs. Cook was baptized into the Osborn Methodist Church in Osborn, Missouri; and later faithfully attended the Methodist Church in Dexter, Missouri.

She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Graveside services were held on Monday, January 23, 1984 at the Rolla Memorial Cemetery at Rolla, Missouri at 2 p.m. with Virgil White officiating.
