Fern Irene Copeland Hogan of New Port, Virginia passed away December 21, 2005 at the Mary Immaculate Hospital in Virginia. She was 74 years of age.
Fern Hogan was born August 30, 1931 in Vichy, Mo. the daughter of the late Jasper and Violet Tipton Copeland.
Fern Hogan is survived by her daughter, Colleen Michelle Tatiana; her son, Michael Kay and his wife, Mary Patricia; two sisters, Margaret Rinehart and Betty Ruth Hughes and her
husband, Winston, all of St. James, Mo., sister-in-law: Katherine Copleand of Rolla, Missouri; three grandchildren: Stacey Marie and husband Christian; Michael Clifton and Sarah Ann; one great-granddaughter: McKayla Carlene Hogan; and the father of her children, Wilbur C. Hogan, III along with several nieces and nephews.
Fern is preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Sandra; two brothers: Raymond Lee and Bernard O. Copeland.
Services
Fern was in state Tuesday December 27, 2005 from 12 noon until 1:30 PM at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri.
Graveside Services were conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday December 27, 2005 at the High Gate Baptist Church Cemetery. Brother Jerry Bauman of the First Baptist Church of St. James will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Michael C. Hogan, Leroy Tipton, Dennis Tipton, David Tipton, Jeffery Watson and George Watson. Memorial are suggested to the Fox Hill Road Baptist Church in Hampton, Virginia. Cards are available at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St James.
