Gerald "Jerry" Ivan Mahaney passed away at his home in Rolla, Missouri on April 4, 2006. Jerry was 65 years of age.
Gerald was born on February 11, 1941 to his parents: Ivan and Mae (Wilson) Mahaney. On August 17, 1997 he was united in marriage to Roberta Sue Riley.
Gerald was a carpenter for 40 years. That was his first job when he graduated from high school. He loved fishing, hunting and expecially restoring tractors. He also loved reading and Nascar. Jerry was a gentle, kind, and loving man. He was always willing to help others. Jerry was a man who could do just about anything when he put his mind to do it. Jerry was greatly loved and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Gerald is survived by his Wife of the home: Roberta Sue Mahaney of Rolla, Missouri; Two Sons: Donald Mahaney of Salem, Missouri and Michael Vincent Mahaney of Denver, Colorado; Two Daughters: Deborah Mahaney of Rolla, Missouri; and Deborah Metcalf and husband Kent of Battlefield, Missouri; Two Brothers: John T. Mahaney and Charles Michael Mahaney of Belle, Mo.; Two Sister: Bonnie Sue Davis and husband Donald of St. James, Mo. and Mary Ann Honse of Belle, Mo.; Five grandchildren: Kylie, Trent, and Jared Wood; Ashley and Austin Metcalf.
Gerald is preceded in death by his parents: Ivan and Mae (Wilson) Mahaney; Four Brothers: Theodore Leonard Mahaney; Roger Mahaney; Robert William Mahaney; and Norman William Mahaney.
Services
Visitation for Gerald will be held on Friday, April 7, 2006 from 3 - 8 PM at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri.
Memorials are suggested to the Cancer Fund, cards are available at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.
