Ruby Mae (McDonald) Stambaugh 1917-2005

Ruby Mae Stambaugh of St. James passed away Thursday December 8, 2005 at the Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan, Mo. She was 88 years 10 months and 3 days of age.

Ruby Stambaugh was born February 5, 1917 at Newburg, Mo., the daughter of the late James and Lillie Henson McDonald.

On February 18, 1950 in St. James she was united in marriage to Wilbert A. Stambaugh. He entered into rest March 3, 2001.

Ruby Stambaugh is survived by sons: Benny Benson and wife Dorothy of St. James and Lawrence Braziel and wife Sue of Portland, Maine, also brother: Paul McDonald of the state of Oregon. 3 Grandchildren: Bruce Benson and wife Liz, Ezra Braziel and Andy Braziel and 1 great-grandchild: Jeremiah Benson.

Mrs. Stambaugh worked for Johnson-Steven-Shinkle Shoe Co. in Rolla for 37 years. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic in St. James, and loved to quilt. She and her husband Wilbur enjoyed volunteering at the St. James Golden Age Center in St. James and was always helping the elderly in the community.

Services
Prayer Service for Mrs. Stambaugh were held 4:30 p.m. Sunday December 11, 2005 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.

Visitation was from 4-8 p.m. Sunday December 11, 2005 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.

Mass was 11:00 A.M. Monday December 12, 2005 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. James with Father David Veit officiating. Burial was in the family plot at the St. James Catholic Church in St. James. Memorials may be given to the St. James Golden Age Center in St. James, cards are available at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James. Mo.
